JOHN J. SARNO

 

John started working in the County for the Department of Labor a little over eighteen years ago as a Labor Specialist. He has served as their Unit President for the past twelve years and was the Executive Vice President for three years prior to that. He also served as Chair of the Outreach/Membership Committee, and a member of the Action, Legislative Affairs and P.A.C. committees. You may have also seen him on all the Lobby Day trips to Albany to advocate for Union issues, or at any of the protests held by AME on behalf of the members. He holds three college degrees (AAS, BBA, and MBA). He served as Lead Legislative Ambassador for the American Cancer Society, had been a member of the Board of Directors for the Knights of Columbus (over ten years), member of National Association of Parliamentarians, member of L.I. Labor and Employment Relations Association (L.E.R.A.), OSHA Certified, Notary Public (over fourteen years), and is a member of the Suffolk County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).
